Ross Learning System (RLS) is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary curriculum system for pre-nursery–postgraduate learners and their teachers. RLS prepares students to address the challenges and opportunities of an increasingly complex, globally connected future. The Ross Spiral Curriculum positions global Cultural History as the locus of the student experience, teaching an historical narrative chronologically through the grades and using it as a lens to examine other disciplines. The curriculum becomes an ascending spiral of historical events plotted from prehistory to the future, with the student educationally situated in the center of the expanding form. This vantage point allows multiple simultaneous and comparative views of the past and present.

With the Ross AR Spiral, newcomers to Ross can explore highlights of the Spiral and discover how all disciplines of study are integrated with the Cultural History narrative. T he Ross AR Spiral actualizes the curriculum in physical space, presenting a bold step towards what we term “digital differentiation.” The involvement of a dynamic combination of the spatial-temporal, kinesthetic, visual, and logico-mathematical intelligences is made possible through the use of the AR medium.

Download the app onto your mobile device and launch the Ross AR Spiral. The eight domains of study, Cultural History, Mathematics, Science, World Languages and Literature, Wellness, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, and Media Studies and Technology, are represented by colored strands winding around one another and forming the Spiral structure. Click the hotspots that appear around the Spiral to explore important moments in the Cultural History narrative and learn how other disciplines converge around it. Users also have the option to switch from the AR view to a model view that isolates the Spiral and allows users to explore the model without the AR marker.
